I've recently upgraded my version of WISE-FTP to the latest version. I'm not sure which version I was using. My problem/challenge is that all of my connections I used in the previous version are stored in WISE-FTP Network Places. Now that I've installed the new version, it's not recognizing this older information. I've tried to import the data using the Import feature, but it does not find the WISE-FTP Network Places folder. I have a couple of dozen connections that I use regularly and would definitely prefer to import them form the older version and avoid having to re-enter them manually. Can you offer any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your time and attention!

Hello,

in order to solve this problem we recommend the follwing article from our knowledgebase:
"How do I transfer my existing FTP server to a new computer"

All the user FTP accounts are saved in the file wiseftpsrvs.bin.

In order to transfer the account information from one PC to another
PC, you need to copy the file from the WISE-FTP settings directory on
source PC to the WISE-FTP settings directory on target PC.

The location of the WISE-FTP settings directory depends on the operating
system and version of WISE-FTP used:

On Windows Vista/Windows 7:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\AceBIT\WISE-FTP N\

On English Windows NT/2000/XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\AceBIT\WISE-FTP N\

On German Windows NT/2000/XP:
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\<USERNAME>\Application Data\AceBIT\WISE-FTP N\

where N - is major version number of WISE-FTP (4, 5, or 6).

Users, who upgrade WISE-FTP from an older version to the newer one on
the same computer may import the accounts very easy with the command:
Site Manager -> Import -> from WISE-FTP

Best regard,
