I've used WiseFTP for small uploads in the past just fine. Recently been using it for larger uploads, whole CMS systems.

The upload seem successful. But when it came to run the CMS (Content Management System) there would be problems. Which were different every time I tried re-uploading and didn't matter which CMS I tried uploading. Usually some code error. If I tracked down the file that was reportedly giving the error I often found a very large difference between the file size on the server and the one on the local machine (a far bigger difference than could be explained by the Unix/Windows text file difference).

Sometimes I would see that 2 files, often 'next' to each other in the same folder seemed to have 'swapped' file sizes in getting from my local Windows machine to the remote Linux server.

Similarly if I edited a file on the server (in this case htaccess) and then looked at it after saving, it actually contained the text from another file (in this case index.php).

I've set up the ASCII list to upload htm, html, txt, php etc files as text.

I tried doing the same uploads using another FTP client and everything went swimmingly. I'd prefer to use WiseFTP, as it's the one that my host provides and I like the interface.

I've got version 3.0.0.7

Hello,

unfortunately we can't reproduce this bug here, but the version 3.0.0.7 is rather old. So first please install the update (which is free) to the latest release 3.1 using the integrated Live-Update. This solves a lot of bugs. Does the problem still persist with the latest version?
