trying to connect to 1 and 1 server

Please please please tell me what I am doing wrong!

Have followed the guide on 1and 1's website for connecting to their server using Wise-FTP (downloaded and activated version 5 - via their site).

Have tried the 'import ftp account' function - entered my correct 1 and 1 account number, correct password... press import... window appears for approx 1.8 seconds - think it says 'retrieving date, please wait'. the window disappears and I'm still on the 'import ftp account' window. No sign of account being imported anywhere...

This is really beginning to annoy me. 1 and 1's help has been dismal to say the least. Would not recommend them so far.

Any help appreciated or I will take a hammer to my laptop. :D

Hello,

after a successful import of your 1&1 account, a new folder with your account number must appear in the site manager tree. This folder should contain the imported ftp servers.

Please deactivate your firewall temporary and try to import again. If this does not help, please contact support@acebit.com, we will then try to find a workaround.
