Error 530

Error 530

Hi All,

Just started using this today in conjunction with FastHosts.

My problem is that I am trying to get my files onto the remote server and need to create an account. I have followed the steps given to Gemma in the post below but am confronted by an Login Authentication 530 error.

What am I doing wrong?

as the error message "530 Login incorrect" indicates, there seems to be a problem with your access data. Please make sure that you entered your username and password correctly - they are case-sensitive. Furthermore the server address should be entered without any prefixes like http:// or www (e.g.
Please try passive and active mode for connecting to your server.

If you want, you can send your complete access data via mail to and we will try to establish a test connection. All information will be treated confidential and will only be used for testing purposes. Please refer to this thread in your subject line.
