AceBackup ask me to purchase

I know that AceBackup is free and that's the problem.

I can't open it, I get this message:

Even if I'd like to purchase I can't all the menus are a dead-end that says AceBackup is free.

Anyway, what do I do now????

Btw, I installed the latest version from the site. 2 Months ago.

Hello,

did you download AceBackup from our website? Could you please uninstall your current version and install the latest version from our website (http://www.acebackup.com/download.htm). Normally, AceBackup should not ask you to purchase the program or do unlock it in this version.

Hi,

Yes it was an installation executable that I downloaded from your website.

I already uninstalled/reinstalled it once.

Something is strange though. :?

The executable name I downloaded months ago was 'AceBackup2004.exe'. (From http://www.acebackup.com/download.htm)
Yesterday, when I got the error I looked to get a newer version. So I went to the exact same location and got an executable with the same name.

But now I just tried to download it again and the executable have a different name : 'AceBackup2.exe'. :shock:

Have you just changed the filename overnight?

Anyway, I'll try to run the executable with the new name as soon as I get home and I keep you in touch.

I found the problem.

I downloaded the file from CNET, on the download page there's a link to download from there but the link isn't updated.
It provides a wrong version of the software.

Please verify.

The download link on the English page is wrong. It's the CNet link which gives you AceBackup2004.

Go to the German version of the site to get the free one: http://www.acebackup.de/download.htm
