Password Depot for iPhone and iTouch?

Post by Hank Tyler » September 9th, 2009, 7:52 pm

Is Password Depot ever going to come out with a version for the Apple iPhone or iTouch?

Currently we work on an edition for Android and Windows Mobile. There will be probably further devices supported later, once these editions were released.

i have downloaded the iPhone app. Is there a method of importing existing password lists exported from my Password Depot running on my desktop at work for use on my iPhone without haveing to re-enter all these again on my phone?

Hello,

Please proceed as follows:

Start iTunes

Connect the iPhone, go to the Apps tab and scroll until you reach the file sharing section. Select the PWD App and add the file on the right side.

Important note: The password file has to saved as a .pswx file before (via Save as...in the main program).

Best regards

Once this is done, password entries are not in alphabetical order. They appeat to be in the pswx file, so why not when moved over to the iPhone?

Sorry, it is unclear what you mean. Do they appear in your iPhone or not?

Sorry, we could not reproduce this issue. Can you please send us a test password file and also it's master password, so we could try to reproduce that issue?

Passwords are not in alpha order when transferred to iPhone. They are on the PC but not on the iPhone. Couple this with the lack of a search function and it becomes very difficult to find a password!

Feature Request

1. Store and list passwords in alphabetical order on the iPhone
2. Add a search function

thanks.

Please rest assured that we will introduce major improvements in the iPhone Edition and of course we will implement both of your feature requests.

However, according to our current tight schedule this will probably be somewhere in October.
